At the Seattle Design Center, a luxury kitchen island features Dekton Laurent. This diamond-shaped centerpiece showcases precision vein matching and contemporary design, elevating the space with advanced sintered stone fabrication.

The Seattle Design Center kitchen project required meticulous attention to vein matching across all surfaces. The Dekton Laurent material, known for its striking and intricate veining, posed a challenge in maintaining a continuous flow through intersecting planes. This was crucial in achieving the desired luxury aesthetic. Additionally, the diamond-shaped island geometry demanded precise alignment of seams to reinforce a clean architectural composition.
The client’s vision for a seamless and contemporary look necessitated advanced handling and coordination during the fabrication process. Given the complexity of the design, achieving perfect vein alignment was a top priority. The project also demanded exceptional slab selection coordination to ensure consistent veining and color uniformity throughout the installation.
Moreover, the installation at the Seattle Design Center, a hub of luxury design, required that the final outcome not only meet but exceed high expectations for both aesthetics and functionality, reflecting Absolute GM's commitment to excellence.

To address the challenges presented by the Dekton Laurent material, we employed our state-of-the-art STONEEX digital laser templating to capture precise measurements of the space. This technology allowed us to plan the layout meticulously, ensuring that the veins were perfectly aligned across the diamond-shaped kitchen island.
In our Kirkland facility, CNC fabrication was utilized to cut the Dekton slabs with precision. This process ensured that each piece was crafted to the exact specifications needed to achieve the seamless transitions and tight seams required by the design. Our skilled craftsmen worked diligently to coordinate slab selection, taking into account the natural veining and variations in the material.
The edge profile was carefully crafted to maintain the contemporary aesthetic while providing durability. The eased edge was selected for its ability to enhance the simplicity of the design without detracting from the striking visual impact of the Dekton Laurent's veining.

The final installation at the Seattle Design Center exemplified luxury, precision, and contemporary design. The Dekton Laurent kitchen island, with its diamond-shaped geometry, became the focal point of the space, enhancing spatial movement and providing a clean, architectural composition.
Client satisfaction was evident in their appreciation of the seamless vein matching and the island's integration with the overall kitchen design. The sintered stone's durability and heat resistance ensured that the kitchen would not only be aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional for daily use.
The project reflected a successful collaboration between design vision and technical precision, showcasing Absolute GM's expertise in delivering high-quality, custom countertop solutions in Seattle and the surrounding areas.
