About the Material

Engineered quartz — premium surfaces from 10+ brands

Engineered quartz pioneered the modern countertop category nearly four decades ago — combining natural quartz with advanced manufacturing to deliver surfaces that never need sealing and last a lifetime.

Founded in 1987 in Sdot Yam, Israel, engineered quartz has grown into one of the world’s most recognized quartz surface brands. Their engineered quartz is made primarily from natural quartz — one of the hardest minerals on earth — combined with pigments and polymer resins under intense vibro-compression and kiln curing. The result is a non-porous, scratch-resistant, stain-resistant surface backed by a lifetime residential warranty.

With 500+ colors across premium tiers (Caesarstone, Cambria, Silestone) and value tiers (MSI Q, Vicostone, Q-Premium Natural), engineered quartz offers everything from clean whites and marble looks to bold industrials and warm organics. Several brands now offer crystalline silica-free formulations — surfaces made with up to 85% recycled content. At Absolute GM we fabricate every quartz slab in our own Kirkland shop using STONEEX digital templating and CNC equipment — ensuring sub-millimeter accuracy from template to installation.

Engineered quartz is a man-made surface composed primarily (90–94%) of natural quartz crystals — one of the hardest minerals found in nature. The quartz is combined with pigments and polymer resins under intense vibro-compression and kiln curing to create a non-porous, scratch-resistant, and stain-resistant countertop surface. Their new Multi-Brand collection goes further with a crystalline silica-free formulation made from ~85% recycled content.
