About the Supplier

MSI Seattle — Quartz, Porcelain & Natural Stone

MSI Seattle is one of the largest surface material distributors in North America — supplying engineered quartz, porcelain slabs, marble, granite, quartzite, and tile from a single source.

Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Orange, California, MSI (M S International) distributes an enormous catalog of surface materials through regional showrooms including their Seattle location in SoDo. Their product range spans three main categories we source regularly: Q Premium Natural Quartz (engineered surfaces in 60+ styles), large-format porcelain slabs for countertops and cladding, and imported natural stone including marble, granite, and quartzite from quarries worldwide.

At Absolute GM we source from MSI because few suppliers match the breadth — a homeowner choosing between quartz and marble, or a designer comparing porcelain cladding with quartzite, can see and compare options from a single distributor. MSI’s Seattle warehouse also means faster slab availability and shorter lead times than many specialty importers.

Common Questions

MSI Seattle — FAQ

MSI supplies three main categories we source regularly: engineered quartz (Q Premium Natural Quartz — 60+ styles), large-format porcelain slabs for countertops and wall cladding, and imported natural stone including marble, granite, and quartzite from quarries worldwide. All available through their Seattle distribution center in SoDo.
Yes — and we strongly recommend it. Our Kirkland showroom carries full MSI slabs across quartz, porcelain, and natural stone. For veined patterns and natural stone especially, the difference between individual slabs is significant. You approve the specific slab before we cut. Visit Mon–Fri 8 am–5 pm or call ahead for a Saturday appointment.
Pricing varies by material type: MSI quartz runs $55–$130/sq ft installed, porcelain slabs $65–$140/sq ft, marble $70–$160/sq ft, granite $50–$120/sq ft, and quartzite $92–$207/sq ft. Final cost depends on edge profile, cutouts, backsplash, and project complexity. Use our quick calculator above or the full quote tool for a project-specific estimate.
It depends on your priorities. Quartz is the most maintenance-free — no sealing, consistent look, widest style selection. Porcelain is ideal for outdoor use and wall cladding — UV-stable, scratch-resistant, ultra-thin profiles. Natural stone (marble, granite, quartzite) offers one-of-a-kind beauty that engineered materials can’t replicate, but requires periodic sealing. Book a free consultation and we’ll walk through the trade-offs for your specific project.
MSI porcelain slabs are the strongest outdoor option — UV-stable, frost-rated, and stain-proof. MSI granite is also suitable for outdoor countertops with proper sealing. MSI quartz is indoor-only because the polymer resins degrade under UV exposure. We also carry Dekton and Neolith as outdoor alternatives from other suppliers.
Template to completed installation in 10–14 business days for standard projects. That includes 1–2 days for STONEEX digital templating, 5–8 days for CNC fabrication in our Kirkland shop, and 1 installation day. Timeline applies to all MSI material types — quartz, porcelain, and natural stone.
