Working on a large-scale project like Muckleshoot Casino Resort presented unique challenges. With 37 vanities to fabricate and install, maintaining consistency in quality and appearance was critical. The project required precise coordination to ensure that each vanity fit perfectly within the existing bathroom spaces, which varied slightly in dimensions due to the building's construction.
Additionally, the high traffic and operational nature of the casino meant that our team had to work swiftly and efficiently to minimize disruption. Each bathroom had to be completed to exacting standards while maintaining a tight schedule to align with the resort's renovation timeline.
Finally, handling the logistics of transporting and installing multiple large quartz pieces required careful planning. The weight and size of the slabs meant that our team needed to ensure safe handling procedures were in place to prevent damage and ensure the safety of our installers.
Strategic Planning and Execution
To address the challenge of precision across numerous installations, we utilized the STONEEX digital laser templating system. This technology allowed us to capture accurate measurements of each space, ensuring that every vanity was custom-fitted to its specific location. This digital approach eliminated the potential for human error in measurement, critical when dealing with high volumes.
Our in-house Kirkland facility's CNC fabrication capabilities allowed us to cut each quartz piece with extreme precision. The CNC machines were programmed with data from the STONEEX scans, ensuring each cut was perfect. This process was vital for achieving the seamless joints and consistent appearance required for the project.
We coordinated closely with the casino's management to schedule installations during off-peak hours, minimizing disruption to guests. Our team was trained in efficient installation techniques, allowing us to quickly and securely install each vanity, with special attention to aligning the TopZero undermount sinks seamlessly with the quartz surfaces.
