Complex Quartzite Layout Challenges
In Gig Harbor, the kitchen's unique layout posed significant challenges. The client desired a seamless appearance across the expansive 97.3 sq ft surface, requiring meticulous planning of seam locations. The existing cabinetry was retained, necessitating precise measurements to ensure a perfect fit without any demolition work.
Additionally, the client's request for multiple sink and faucet cutouts added complexity to the project. Integrating four undermount sinks with six faucet holes into the design required careful consideration of both functionality and aesthetics.
Handling the heavy quartzite slabs was another challenge. Taj Mahal Quartzite, known for its durability and weight, necessitated careful maneuvering and support during installation to avoid any potential damage.
Precision Templating and Fabrication
Our team utilized the STONEEX digital laser templating system to capture the kitchen's exact dimensions. This advanced technology allowed us to plan the layout accurately, ensuring the quartzite slabs were cut to fit perfectly around existing features without any demolition.
CNC fabrication at our Kirkland facility ensured precision cutting of the Taj Mahal Quartzite. The CNC machines were programmed to execute the eased and polished edge profile, providing a smooth and polished finish that enhanced the material’s natural beauty.
Seam locations were strategically planned to be unobtrusive, aligning with the kitchen's design aesthetic. Our skilled craftsmen executed flawless cutouts for the undermount sinks and faucet holes, ensuring a seamless integration into the countertop surface.
