Dekton countertops are not engineered quartz, not porcelain, and not natural stone — it is an ultra-compact sintered surface. A proprietary blend of raw materials fused under extreme heat and pressure into a surface with zero porosity, zero resins, and extraordinary versatility from kitchen countertops to exterior facades.

Dekton® is manufactured by Cosentino in Almería, Spain using their exclusive TSP (Technology of Sintered Particles) process. A sophisticated blend of glass, porcelain, quartz, and other raw materials is subjected to 25,000+ tons of compaction pressure and fired at temperatures exceeding 2,200°F. This process simulates the metamorphic changes that natural stone undergoes over thousands of years — completed in hours.

With 70+ colors across collections inspired by marble (Stonika), artisan stone (Onirika), natural surfaces (Natural), concrete and metal (Industrial), and pure solids (Urban), Dekton countertops offer designs from luminous Olimpo whites and dramatic Kelya veining to oxidized Trilium textures and minimalist solid surfaces. Available in slabs up to 126″×56″ and five thicknesses (4 mm Slim, 8 mm, 12 mm, 20 mm, 30 mm), Dekton works for kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor areas, facades, flooring, and furniture. Dekton countertops are carbon-neutral across their entire lifecycle — Cradle-to-Grave. At Absolute GM we fabricate every Dekton slab in our own Kirkland shop using STONEEX digital templating and CNC equipment — ensuring sub-millimeter accuracy from template to installation.

No. Dekton has virtually zero porosity and never needs sealing — not at installation, not ever. Because it contains no resins, there is nothing to break down over time. Unlike natural stone countertops like granite or marble, Dekton resists stains, water, and liquid penetration without any maintenance treatments. Clean with soap and water.
Yes — Dekton is one of the best materials for outdoor countertops. It is 100% UV-resistant, meaning colors will not fade in direct sunlight. It carries an A1 fire classification (non-combustible) and withstands freeze-thaw cycles, extreme heat, rain, and weathering without degrading. This makes it ideal for outdoor kitchens, BBQ surrounds, pool areas, fire pit surrounds, and exterior facades. Absolute GM fabricates custom Dekton outdoor installations with the same precision as indoor projects.

Dekton is available in multiple finishes depending on the collection: Ultrabright (ultra-glossy polish), Polished (high-gloss mirror shine), Silk/Satin (matte with subtle luster), Natural (slightly textured matte), Velvet (soft-touch matte), and Grip/Grip+ (textured anti-slip for outdoor flooring). Each finish changes the look and feel of the surface. Note: the 25-year warranty applies to standard finishes; Grip/Grip+ finishes carry a 5-year warranty. We keep samples of all finishes in our Kirkland showroom.
Yes. Dekton is carbon-neutral across its entire lifecycle — Cradle-to-Grave. Cosentino offsets 100% of the emissions generated during manufacturing, transport, installation, use, and disposal. Trilium was the first Dekton color made entirely from 100% recycled materials. Dekton is manufactured using recycled water and renewable energy sources. For environmentally conscious projects, Dekton is an excellent choice.
